Dermatology Clinic
The Dermatology Clinic at the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) covers conditions of the skin, hair, and nails, addresses disorders of the oral mucosa, and combines therapeutic care with community consultation services.
Patients
A wide range of patients is seen at the clinic, including individuals with skin diseases referred for second opinions from community clinics, members of the military forces, hospital employees, children, and adults.
Equipment and Facilities
The clinic has two examination rooms. Each room is equipped with liquid nitrogen and an electrocautery needle for performing various treatments.
Treatments and Procedures
The clinic performs treatments using liquid nitrogen and an electrocautery needle, as needed.
In addition, skin biopsies are performed for pathological diagnosis and immunofluorescence testing.
The clinic works in close collaboration with the Genetic Institute, the Department of Plastic Surgery, the Oncology Institute, the Rheumatology Institute, and all other departments and units within the medical center.
