The Shlomo Shmeltzer Neurology Institute
The Neurology Institute brings together, under one roof, a wide range of outpatient clinics and specialized diagnostic services in neurology. The outpatient clinics provide medical care by leading specialists in Israel across all areas of neurology, including movement disorders (Parkinson’s disease), epilepsy, stroke, neuromuscular diseases, neuroimmunological diseases (multiple sclerosis), headaches, and cognition.
The institute performs EEG tests for children and adults, as well as EMG and evoked potentials, at the highest professional standards. The institute also includes a neuropsychology service that conducts advanced neuropsychological evaluations and provides psychotherapy for patients with neurological conditions who require it.
The institute also operates a unique multidisciplinary clinic – the only one of its kind in Israel – for the diagnosis and treatment of MELAS syndrome.
